Notices can arrive by phone, text, email, or the supported app for releases, movements, transfers, escapes, and other custody changes.
Mifflin County Correctional Facility points users from its official lookup page to Vine Link. That makes VINELink a county-endorsed route for an individual MCCF custody check, but it does not make the system an MCCF roster. It also does not guarantee a historical released result will remain searchable for a stated period. For state custody and parole, the source agency may instead be the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. Always read the agency attached to the match.

- Review all possible matches. Compare the agency, available identifiers, age or birth information, and known case facts.
- Open the best-matched record and read the exact status, event, location or agency wording, and event time shown.
- If the result concerns movement or transfer, check the receiving custodian. Do not record it as community release.
- If no result appears, try a narrower or alternate name match, then contact the source agency. Do not conclude that the person was released.
VINELink is strongest when the question concerns a known person and a participating source. It is not designed to list every Mifflin County release in time order. The Mifflin County released-inmate search path adds UJS, MCCF Records, PA DOC, and the correct federal channel when VINELink alone cannot resolve the event.
Note: Preserve the exact event text and access time so “released,” “moved,” and “transferred” do not blur into one another.

A released result supports that the reporting agency sent a release or out-of-custody event. It is not a certified release record. The event may end MCCF custody while another legal duty continues. Parole is supervised release from prison. Probation is court-ordered supervision that can follow jail or replace confinement. Neither status means the person remains inside MCCF.
No result has several possible causes. The name may not match, the agency may not feed that record, the event may be old, or the person may be in another system. Public retention for a released VINELink result is not specified. Use the county release entry or court docket for an older Mifflin County event.
Register Mifflin Release Alerts
Registration begins from the correctly matched record. The notification destination and PIN are private account details. Do not share them, place them in public screenshots, or use someone else's contact information. Multiple destinations can be registered when the service supports them.

Press zero on the main line for help with a forgotten PIN or changes. Pennsylvania says an unanswered call may leave a message and repeat for 24 to 48 hours, or until it is acknowledged. Calls can arrive overnight.

Mifflin Release Notification Network
Mifflin County adds a local navigation layer around PA SAVIN. Its inmate-lookup page directs users to Vine Link, while the MCCF frequently asked questions route release-alert questions to Mifflin County Crime Victim Services. The county's Victim Rights and Services page also points to the PA Crime Victims mobile app.
These tools serve notifications and support. They are not open MCCF release galleries. The mobile app should not be described as a Sheriff roster, booking-photo app, or 24-hour and 72-hour list. A person who wants an alert follows the PA SAVIN process. A person who wants an existing jail release entry asks MCCF or the county records officer. Keeping those roles distinct prevents a notification from being overstated as a county release certificate.
Can Crime Victim Services confirm the exact exit record? The county points release-alert questions there, but the originating custody record remains with MCCF or the relevant agency. Use the local office for notification support and the custodian for the release record.

Confirm a Mifflin Release Alert
A VINELink alert should trigger a second check. For an MCCF event, compare it with the court docket and the facility or county record. UJS can show bail, dismissal, sentence, time served, probation, or a later order. That court action explains the legal basis but is not always the physical release time. MCCF says court paperwork and workload may delay completion even after a release becomes due.
Use this confirmation sequence after an alert:
- Verify the alert names the expected source agency and person.
- Read whether it says released, moved, or transferred.
- Open the matching Mifflin County UJS docket by OTN or docket number when available.
- Call MCCF at 717-248-1130 or Records at extension 2321 for the correct record route.
- Request the booking, commitment, and release or transfer entry if a durable record is needed.
A release record can include the booking or commitment identifier, booking date, release date and time, release reason or authority, destination, receiving agency, docket, and detainer notation if those items are held. A detainer is a hold or request from another authority. Release to a detainer may continue confinement, so the destination is central to the conclusion.
Mifflin VINELink Search Limits
VINELink does not replace the federal systems. A sentenced federal prisoner belongs in the Bureau of Prisons locator. An immigration custody question belongs in the ICE Online Detainee Locator when its coverage applies. The U.S. Marshals Service has no comparable public person locator for its prisoner tracking system. A missing VINELink result cannot be used to declare release from any of these custodians.

The PA DOC public application itself has two modes. The Inmate Locator covers current state custody. The Department Supervised Individual Locator covers active state field supervision and can display an actual field called Release Date, a linked supervision location, and an update time. A person released only from MCCF does not appear in PA DOC merely because the jail is in Pennsylvania.
County supervision needs another check. Mifflin County Adult Probation and Parole handles county court matters, while DOC field supervision concerns state cases. An MCCF release followed by county probation may never produce a match in the state supervised-person mode. The UJS docket can show the county sentence or probation order, and the local supervision office can direct appropriate questions about that order. None of those records turns VINELink into a release schedule.
Safety and legal decisions should never rest on an automated alert alone. Verify with the source agency, preserve the event wording, and use the court or release record that matches the custodian. This careful scope is especially important when the same person has a county case, a state sentence, or another agency hold.
