It would be inaccurate to treat those two links as a list of everyone who left Mifflin County Correctional Facility today.

Someone seeking all releases for a day needs an existing county release log, if MCCF or the county holds one and it is subject to access. A release record answers when MCCF stopped holding the person under a particular authority. It does not always mean all legal restraint ended. Bail leaves the case pending. Probation can follow custody. Parole ends prison confinement while supervision continues. A detainer is a hold or request from another authority, so release to a detainer can mean continued custody elsewhere.
Why Mifflin Releases Can Lag
The MCCF Family Information Guide says release is not always immediate after bail is posted or another release becomes due. The facility must receive court paperwork and work through its current workload. It states that release then occurs as soon as practical. This makes a docketed bail or release order strong evidence of legal authority, but not a timestamp showing that the person has crossed the jail exit.
VINELink is an event-notification system, not a release certificate. Its status can also lag the source agency. Compare its event with MCCF and the court docket when same-day timing matters. UJS has a searchable Date Filed option, yet that date reflects a court filing. It does not turn UJS into a chronological MCCF release list, and it does not establish the precise physical exit time.
Mifflin Bail and Release Timing
MCCF publishes a local bail procedure that helps explain same-day uncertainty. During normal court hours, its family guide encourages the person posting bail to work through the committing court. The Mifflin County Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts handles bail paperwork, while MCCF deals with the custody release after authority and papers reach the facility.
After hours, the guide says MCCF can accept a money order when the detaining court papers show a known bail amount. The person posting it should have photo identification. This is a way to post bail, not a promise that release will occur at a set hour. Paperwork, other holds, identity checks, and facility workload can still separate payment from physical release. A private bondsman may be used when applicable, but MCCF does not control that private service.
Does “bail posted” prove release? No. It supports one required step. Check the VINELink event and MCCF record to confirm when local custody ended and whether another authority assumed custody.

This county design favors a two-source check for one person. VINE reports custody events supplied by participating agencies. UJS shows the court action that may have authorized bail, dismissal, time served, probation, or another disposition. “Disposition” means the formal result or status of a case. Neither source alone supplies a complete county release log. If a day-wide list is needed, describe the exact date range and the existing release fields sought in a county records request.
Request Mifflin Same-Day Records
For a non-court county record, submit a focused request to the Mifflin County Open Records Officer. Identify the person, booking or commitment number if known, approximate admission, and the date range. The county policy provides for a response within five business days and permits a qualifying extension. That response may grant access, deny access with reasons and appeal instructions, or explain an extension. No public MCCF retention period was found. Mifflin Released Versus Transferred
A person no longer held by MCCF may have entered the community after bail, a court order, sentence completion, or another authorized release. That person may still have county probation or state parole. By contrast, a transfer to PA DOC, another county jail, the U.S. Marshals Service, or ICE ends MCCF custody while confinement continues. Search the receiving system when the record names another custodian.
